The Psychology of Motivation Pilot
All educators and coaches both sports and otherwise know that one of the most important elements which contributes significantly to a successful outcome with their students is motivation. If motivation is lacking, achieving a successful outcome will be a struggle.
Understanding what motivates students will boost progress and could have a positive effect for life!

Each person is motivated by different things. It is not one size fits all - .
JOIN OUR DEVELOPMENT PILOT AND HELP A FANTASTIC CHARITY AT THE SAME TIME
We are developing tools to help increase motivation of students as well as track levels of motivation to help get students motivation back on track. ED-HEADS has commissioned the department of psychology at Essex University, which has three professors who are experts in all aspects of the psychology or motivation who will be involved in the pilot, to work with us to develop these tools to identify the motivation profile of individual students, to keep them motivated during their studies and to measure their levels of motivation to allow tutors and parents to assist in keeping motivation on track.
PHASE ONE is to run a pilot as part of the development of these tools and apps. It will consist of a questionnaire to establish a motivation profile for each student. Our reports system will track levels of motivation as well as progress being made.

PHASE TWO will be to introduce motivational messaging which will be tailored to suit the motivation profile of the student.

The study will consist of half the students’ tutors being informed about motivation levels and receiving the messaging, while the other half to dot receive the information so as to draw a comparison as to the effectiveness of the information.

We are inviting tutors and tuition companies to put their students into this important study which will benefit students and add value to tutoring services.
